NJGAS has supported the life saving and life changing mission of 180 for decades and we are grateful for their belief in our mission. Beyond the corporate support the company generously gives to bolster our many programs, we have been lucky to have their employees involvement in various events. For example, as pictured below, each year employees donate funds to dress down and wear denim to bring attention to sexual assault awareness. The Denim Day Campaign which is done annually each spring during National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, has raised critical funds for our mission and has highlighted the role of 180 in the community.
Also, over the years, members of the NJGAS leadership team have served on 180’s Board of Trustees providing invaluable input, wisdom and creating connections to elevate our mission throughout the community. Currently serving on 180’s Board is NJGAS Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Amanda Mullan. We are grateful for her involvement and expertise.
With the continued support of NJGAS throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, we can continue to make investments in our many programs – especially those that are stretched particularly thin due to the increasing needs from our community.
“Domestic violence knows no boundaries. It can happen anywhere, at any time, and to anybody…even in our own communities. That is why organizations like 180 Turning Lives Around are so important. For victims of sexual assault and abuse, they provide more than help; they provide hope. New Jersey Natural Gas is proud to stand with 180 and support the important work they do to bring an end to domestic violence and sexual assault and help those in need turn their lives around for the better.”
