“Branching Out” Annual Amanda’s Easel Exhibit
Every October, in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, 180’s Amanda’s Easel unveils a survivor-led DV awareness art exhibit.
Created by the parents and families who participated at 180’s Amanda’s Easel, this year’s exhibit is titled “Branching Out.”
“Branching Out” represents expansion, transformation or exploration into new areas. Much like survivors of domestic violence, trees withstand storms, droughts, cycles and seasons. Even when they lose leaves or branches, they are often resilient enough to survive and regenerate.
By elevating survivor voices, sharing personal stories of growth and change, 180 Turning Lives Around hopes to raise community awareness about the impact of domestic violence and the transformative power of creative expression.
