SUMMARY:"Branching Out" Annual Amanda's Easel Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:“Branching Out” Annual Amanda’s Easel Exhibit\nEvery October\, in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month\, 180’s Amanda’s Easel unveils a survivor-led DV awareness art exhibit.\nCreated by the parents and families who participated at 180’s Amanda’s Easel\, this year’s exhibit is titled “Branching Out.” \n“Branching Out” represents expansion\, transformation or exploration into new areas. Much like survivors of domestic violence\, trees withstand storms\, droughts\, cycles and seasons. Even when they lose leaves or branches\, they are often resilient enough to survive and regenerate. \nBy elevating survivor voices\, sharing personal stories of growth and change\, 180 Turning Lives Around hopes to raise community awareness about the impact of domestic violence and the transformative power of creative expression. \nThursday\, October 1\, 2026\n4-6 pm\nJBJ Soul Kitchen\n207 Monmouth St.\nRed Bank\, NJ \nThis event is complimentary thanks to the generosity of JBJ Soul Kitchen \nPlease RSVP by Thursday\, September 24th: \nClick to RSVP

SUMMARY:Are the Bennet Girls OK?
DESCRIPTION:Fundraising Event\nMagnolia Productions\, a female-run theater company based in Monmouth County\, is making history. The group will be the first community theater to produce Emily Breeze’s off-Broadway hit “Are the Bennet Girls OK?” The show enjoyed critical and audience acclaim when it premiered in the city in 2025. Magnolia Productions now steers it into The Theater at The Navesink Library in Atlantic Highlands. \nATBGO is a modern retelling of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice with some twists. While the action still takes place in 1812 the sisters use modern language and (some) modern sensibilities to navigate the complex world of finding a match and securing a future. Magnolia is touting this production as “Not your grandmother’s Jane Austen”. \nThis production\, directed by Anne Kaufman of Middletown\, features a talented cast of local high school students and veteran New York actors. \nPerformances run Fridays & Saturdays\, July 31 – August 8 at 7:30 pm\nWith Saturday matinees August 1 & 8 at 2pm.\nNavesink Library\n149 Monmouth Ave\nAtlantic Highlands\, NJ 07716 \nGet TicketsAbout Magnolia Productions\nMagnolia Productions was founded in April 2024\, with the mission to present stories about women\, by women\, and for women. They also aspire to put the “community” in community theater by partnering with local charities to help those in need. More information can be found at MagnoliaProductions.org. \nBenefit for 180 Turning Lives Around\nAre the Bennet Girls OK will host a donation drive at every performance for new brightly colored/themed backpacks\, lunch boxes\, and pre-packaged snacks to benefit the children of 180 Turning Lives Around.
