Help 180 Answer The Call

Today is “Giving Tuesday” and I invite you to participate.
All gifts received this Giving Tuesday will support one of our most highly utilized programs – our 24 hour Domestic and Sexual Violence Hotlines. The hotlines are always available and are staffed by highly trained professionals in the field of domestic and sexual violence and human trafficking. Everyday, 180 is answering calls and helping to guide victims to safety.
Nearly 3,000 calls are made to 180 annually. The hotlines are often the entryway into additional agency services including: emergency shelter at our safe house, counseling, legal and court advocacy, and programs for children such as our Amanda’s Easel Creative Arts Therapy program or the 2NDFLOOR Youth Text and Helpline.
Please donate in honor of Giving Tuesday and your gift will help us answer the call in a victim’s moment of crisis. Your support at any level makes a difference!
P.S: As you probably already know, Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Thank you for including 180 Turning Lives Around in your giving plans this year!

New York City’s Best “Band of Bankers” To Perform 15th Anniversary Benefit Concert for 180 Turning Lives Around

This talented rock and roll “band of bankers” known to friends and colleagues as “Aged Inventory”, was formed by a group of employees at Credit Suisse to play at their company holiday party nearly 14 years ago. Since then, the band has played over 60 shows, raising nearly two million dollars for over a dozen charitable causes. 180 Turning Lives Around is thrilled to have been selected the beneficiary of their 15th Anniversary Concert taking place on Thursday, November 29, 7:00 PM at (Le) Poisson Rouge located at 158 Bleecker Street, NYC.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.

Guitarist for Aged Inventory and Fair Haven, NJ resident, Steve Kaiman, became aware of 180 Turning Lives Around through his daughter, Sydney, a student at Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School who led a volunteer project for women staying at 180’s Safe House. The project, “The Pampered Pillowcase” delivered necessities, gifts and special beauty products to safe house moms just in time for Mother’s Day.
“It was time for the band to select this year’s beneficiary and everything about 180’s mission resonated with us. After learning what my daughter and her friends did for the women staying at 180’s shelter, we felt compelled to do our part and help raise some money to help 180 deliver services to individuals in crisis due to domestic and sexual violence. 180 also runs a teen support text and helpline called, “2NDFLOOR” which is so important and needed in these times. We are excited to perform and do what we can for such a worthy cause.” said Steve Kaiman.
Funds will be generated through ticket sales and donations. Also, a few surprises are in store the evening of the event, including a Live Auction which gives concert goers the chance to bid on two exclusive tickets to one of Bruce Springsteen’s final shows, Springsteen on Broadway on Friday, December 7.

For more information about the concert, or if you can’t attend and would like to make a donation in support of 180 Turning Lives Around, please contact Lynn Lucarelli, Director of Development at
